The short version: every asset in the FreeDesignStore catalog is dedicated to the public domain under CC0 1.0 Universal. Download anything and use it for anything — personal, commercial, modified, unmodified, printed, resold, redistributed. No attribution, no credit, no link back, no account, no permission required. Ever.

1. The content license (CC0)

To the fullest extent permitted by law, all assets hosted in the FreeDesignStore catalog — photographs, illustrations, AI-generated images, art reproductions, textures, and videos — are dedicated to the public domain under CC0 1.0. This is the most permissive dedication that exists: it waives copyright and related rights worldwide. You may copy, modify, distribute, and use the assets, including for commercial purposes, all without asking for permission or giving credit.

Attribution is never required. If you want to credit a creator anyway, they'll appreciate it — every asset page names its author — but it is entirely optional.

2. Honest caveats (what CC0 cannot waive)

CC0 waives the copyright in an asset. No license can waive rights that belong to third parties:

People: if a photograph depicts a recognizable real person, their personality, privacy, or publicity rights may still apply depending on your use and jurisdiction (e.g. implying endorsement in an ad).
Trademarks and property: logos, brands, or distinctive designs visible in an asset remain their owners' property.
You are responsible for clearing such third-party rights where your use requires it. Most decorative, editorial, and background uses need no clearance at all.

3. Where the content comes from

Curated originals: images generated or produced by FreeDesignStore, dedicated to the public domain by us.
Public-domain sources: works already in the public domain or released under CC0 by their creators or institutions (including NASA and museum open-access collections). Provenance is recorded on each asset page.
Contributors: creators who upload to FreeDesignStore dedicate their submission to the public domain under CC0 as part of the upload.

4. Contributor terms

By uploading an asset you confirm that:

you created it or hold every right needed to dedicate it to the public domain;
you irrevocably dedicate it under CC0 1.0 — you cannot revoke this after others rely on it;
it contains nothing unlawful, infringing, hateful, or sexually explicit, and any AI-generated work discloses the tool used;
it does not include third-party stock content (including Unsplash) re-uploaded as your own.

FreeDesignStore may remove any asset at any time (moderation is takedown-based) and may suspend accounts that break these rules.

5. Takedowns and disputes

If you believe an asset infringes your rights, use the "Report this asset" link on the asset's page or open an issue on GitHub with the asset URL and the basis of your claim. Verified claims are removed promptly.

6. The service itself

The FreeDesignStore website, tools, and API are provided free of charge, as is, without warranties of any kind — including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We may change or discontinue any part of the service at any time. Our total liability for any claim related to the service or its content is limited to the amount you paid us, which is zero.

Don't abuse the service: no scraping at rates that degrade it for others, no attempts to bypass rate limits or moderation, no uploading malware.

7. Changes

We may update these terms; the "last updated" date changes when we do. The CC0 dedication of already-published assets is irrevocable and survives any change to these terms.
